Seattle teacher accused of voyeurism to stand trial this winter
VERNON – A Seattle man will be tried in Vernon Provincial Court next year.
Jason Paur, 43, will stand trial beginning January 15, 2015. Paur has been in custody since his arrest Dec. 10.
Paur, a cross country ski coach, was on a field trip to Silver Star Mountain with students from the prestigious Bush School in Seattle when a group of female students discovered a video camera hidden in their room. Paur is accused of planting the camera for voyeuristic purposes.
Paur faces charges of secretly observing or recording nudity in a private place, accessing child pornography, possessing child pornography, and breaking and entering a dwelling with intent.
A police investigation turned up other video tapes of students in Paur’s Washington State home.
