Victims not co-operating with police after shots fired in New Westminster

VANCOUVER – Police in New Westminster, B.C., are investigating after shots were fired between two vehicles overnight.

Staff Sgt. Neil Collins says in a release that officers were called to Ewen Avenue near Howe Street around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

The shots came from a dark coloured sedan and someone from the vehicle fled the scene.

The other vehicle crashed into a traffic barricade and was found with two bullet holes in it.

No one was injured.

Collins says the people in the vehicle that was hit are known to police and are not co-operating with the on-going investigation.
