EDMONTON – The Edmonton Eskimos re-signed Canadian offensive lineman Matt O’Donnell on Wednesday.
The six-foot-11, 340-pound D’Donnell was recently released by the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals.
O’Donnell, 26, a native of Comox, B.C., played in 42 games over three seasons with Edmonton before being released this off-season so he could sign with Cincinnati.
O’Donnell was originally drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the second round of the 2011 CFL draft but opted to sign with Cincinnati and spent one season on the practice roster.
O’Donnell returned to the CFL the next year and joined Edmonton, which acquired his rights for receiver Greg Carr and a 2013 fifth-round pick.
