
Elderly woman struck and killed in West Kelowna parking lot
An 82-year-old woman died after being hit by a pickup truck as she was walking in the West Kelowna Walmart parking lot this morning.
The woman was hit just after 11 a.m. today, April 24, according to an RCMP media release. RCMP are not identifying the victim, but say her family have been notified of her death.
RCMP say the driver of the pickup remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Kelowna RCMP Victim Services has been deployed and is available for witnesses who have been traumatized by the incident by calling 250-470-6242.
