TRENDING NOW: Tom Cruise and James Corden join ‘The Lion King’ cast

While flying in a fighter jet over the Mojave Desert, Tom Cruise said to late night talk show host James Corden: "Somewhere, before it's all said and done, we have to do a musical together, James."

Well Corden took him up on the offer and together they joined the cast of The Lion King at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.

Playing Timon and Pumbaa, the pair sang Hakuna Matata to a young Simba.
