Kamloops RCMP searching for knife-wielding suspect in gas station robbery
KAMLOOPS – Police in Kamloops are looking for a suspect who robbed the Safeway Gas Bar on Fortune Drive at knife point last night.
Around 10:30 p.m., Aug. 16, a man went into the North Shore gas station. He pulled out a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes from two employees, police say in a release.
After getting the money and cigarettes he left the store and the area.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as six feet tall and having a slim build. He had a patchy, short grey beard and a ruddy face with dark skin. He was wearing a dirty blue hoody with white writing on the front and blue jeans.
Anyone who may have saw the incident or may know who the suspect is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
