CIS Roundup: Yannick Harou leads way as Mustangs topple Marauders 46-24

HAMILTON – Yannick Harou rushed for 61 yards and three touchdowns to lift the Western Mustangs to a 46-24 victory over the McMaster Marauders on Saturday in CIS football action.

Quarterback Will Finch completed 17-of-25 passing attempts for 261 yards and one interception for Western (8-0). Finch also ran in a touchdown, from one yard out in the second quarter to give the Mustangs an 18-3 lead.

Tom Marshall also had a rushing touchdown.

Asher Hastings was 27-of-41 for 286 yards, two touchdown passes and one interception for the Marauders (6-2), who were held to just three points until the fourth quarter. Hastings also set the record for most touchdown passes in a season with 31 in eight league games.

Aaron Baker, Dan Petermann and Dan Vandervoort had TD’s for McMaster.
