Police: Woman fatally stabs her mother outside mall

DUNDALK, Md. – Police say a 29-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree murder after her mother was found stabbed outside Eastpoint Mall in Baltimore County.

Police said Sunday that Crystal Marie Wagner attacked and stabbed her mother, Malia Delores Wagner, multiple times in the mall’s parking lot on Saturday. Police say Crystal Wagner then got in her car and left, leaving her mother in the parking lot.

Malia Wagner was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Baltimore County Police said Sunday Crystal Wagner is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center. An official at the jail said he couldn’t say whether Wagner has obtained an attorney.

It wasn’t immediately clear how police tracked down Crystal Wagner after the incident. A message left with the Baltimore County Police Department was not immediately returned Sunday.

Police say they have not determined a motive.
