ANOTHER FIVE RECIPIENTS IN TOP TWENTY UNDER 40 ANNOUNCED

VERNON – The next five recipients in the KPMG Top Twenty under 40 include a small business owner, a chartered accountant, a social media expert, a registered interior designer and a professional photographer.

The 2nd Annual KPMG Top 20 Under 40 recognizes the next generation of leaders in the North Okanagan who are making their mark through business success and community involvement.

Fifteen recipients have now been named with the final five to be announced on Tuesday October 11th.

  • Dora Anderson – 38 year old partner with MQN Architecture & Interior Design who is dedicated to the principles of sustainable development
  • Leah Campbell – 32 year old who is in charge of Social Media & Marketing with Davison Orchards
  • Daniel Healey – 38 year old senior manager at KPMG who is on the Board of Downtown Vernon.
  • Terence Giesbrecht – 31 year old owner of Skyride Bike & Board Inc. and winner of several business awards for their start-up company.
  • Peter Solymosi – 39 year old general manager of White House Mortgages who is also a professional photographer and dedicates a lot of his time to refereeing soccer locally and provincially.

“The judges have been impressed with the quality of nominations we have received and it is going to make it difficult to select the final five,” says Dan Rogers, chamber general manager. “The program was meant to recognize the young leaders among us but also to inspire youth across the north Okanagan to dream big.”

A community recognition event for the top twenty under 40 as well as three rising stars is scheduled for Thursday October 20, 2016 at Okanagan College during small business week. Tickets for that event are now available through the chamber.
