Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 61 cents, or 9.50 per cent, to $7.03 on 12.8 million shares.

Arizona Mining Inc. (TSX:AZ). Miner. Down 20 cents, or 6.04 per cent, to $3.11 on 6.5 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Down nine cents, or 0.53 per cent, to $16.89 on 6.1 million shares.

Crescent Point Energy (TSX:CPG). Oil and gas. Up 35 cents, or 1.92 per cent, to $18.59 on 5.7 million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up 11 cents, or 2.89 per cent, to $3.92 on 5.03 million shares.

Husky Energy Inc. (TSX:HSE). Oil and gas. Up 68 cents, or 4.19 per cent, to $16.90 on 4.9 million shares.

TransCanada Corp. (TSX:TRP). Oil and gas.Up 13 cents, or 0.22 per cent, to $58.97 on 1.6 million shares. The federal government has appointed three new bilingual members to the National Energy Board in a move that could get the stalled Energy East pipeline review back on track. The temporary appointments by Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr fill a void left when the previous panel examining TransCanada’s proposed 4,500-kilometre pipeline stepped down due to perceptions of a potential conflict of interest.

Canadian Natural Resources (TSX:CNQ). Oil and gas. Up 29 cents, or 0.66 per cent, to $44.26 on 3.1 million shares. The company is selling its 15 per cent stake in the Cold Lake pipeline system in Alberta to Inter Pipeline Ltd. for about $527.5 million in cash and shares. Once the transaction closes, Inter Pipeline (TSX:IPL) (up 51 cents, or 1.81 per cent, to $28.74 on 1.2 million shares) will have 100 per cent ownership of the Cold Lake system which serves a variety of large oilsands producers including Canadian Natural and Imperial Oil (TSX:IMO) (up $1.20, or 2.58 per cent, to $47.65 on 806,246 shares).
