POWELL RIVER, B.C. – A two-year-old girl has been reunited with her family after spending hours missing near Powell River, B.C.
Const. Tim Kenning with the Powell River RCMP says police believed the little girl walked away from her home.
She was reported missing around 10 a.m.
He says police dogs, a helicopter, and search and rescue crews were all involved in the search for the child.
The girl was found in a forested area near her family’s rural property around 1:30 Monday afternoon.
Kenning says the child was cold and scared, but otherwise in good health.
