Goldcorp reports Q3 profits compared to loss in the same period last year

VANCOUVER – Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G) reported profits in the third quarter compared to a loss in the same period last year.

The Vancouver-based miner’s net earnings were US$59 million, or seven cents US per share, in the three months ended Sept. 30.

That compares to net losses of US$192 million, or 23 cents US per share, in the same period last year.

Third-quarter revenues were US$915 million compared to revenues of US$1.098 billion in the prior-year period.
