Rawsthorne’s try lifts Wolfpack over Raiders 16-12; Toronto wins ninth in a row
BARROW-IN-FURNESS, United Kingdom – Nick Rawsthorne’s try in the 49th minute followed by a Ryan Brierley conversion gave the Toronto Wolfpack a 16-12 win over the Barrow Raiders on Sunday in the fifth Round of the Challenge Cup.
Gareth O’Brien and Bob Beswick also had tries as Toronto won its ninth straight game in all competitions.
The Wolfpack moves on to the sixth round of the historical competition for the first time. The top eight teams from the 2017 Super League are added, meaning the Wolfpack could be drawn against one of the top sides in the Rugby Football League.
Nathan Mossop and Martin Aspinall had tries for Barrowm with converts from Jamie Dallimore.
