The Latest: Jet returns to Denver after engine problem

DENVER – The Latest on a United Airlines passenger jet returning to Denver with engine problems (all times local):

1:30 p.m.

A United Airlines flight from Denver to Hawaii was forced to dump fuel and return to Denver International Airport after reporting problems with an engine.

United Airlines spokeswoman Maddie King said Flight 328, carrying 333 passengers, landed safely Friday and passengers got off at the terminal. No injuries were reported.

Airport spokesman Heath Montgomery says a small grass fire near a runway may have been caused when the jet took off.

Montgomery says the fire has been contained.

A United Airlines flight from Denver to Hawaii is returning to Denver International Airport after a small grass fire broke out near a runway.

Airport spokesman Heath Montgomery says the grass fire may have been caused when the jet took off on Friday and the jet is returning to DIA as a precaution.

Montgomery says the small grass fire has been contained.
