Worst versus the best: Toronto FC to play Galaxy in MLS home opener

TORONTO – Toronto FC, the worst team in MLS last season, will welcome the defending champion Los Angeles Galaxy to BMO Field in its 2013 home opener.

The Galaxy will visit March 30 after Toronto opens on the road with games in Vancouver and Montreal.

The league released its full schedule Wednesday after unveiling last month the first three weeks of the 2013 campaign.

Each of the league’s 19 clubs will play 34 matches, 17 at home and 17 away, over 35 weeks.

The season kicks off March 2, the earliest start date in MLS history.

Toronto finished last in the league last season with a 5-21-8 record.
