Missing snowmobiler is found safe after overnight stay in B.C. Interior

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – A search and rescue crew has found a missing snowmobiler near Finn Creek, B.C., north of Clearwater.

Kamloops Search and Rescue manager Alan Hobler says the man who disappeared Tuesday afternoon was found cold, but unharmed, on Wednesday morning.

Hobler says the man was still mobile and was able to ride out on his own.

The RCMP and search and rescue crews scoured the Finn Creek recreational area after the man became separated from a group of snowmobilers from Alberta.

The snowmobiler had some backcountry experience, and was equipped with food and other supplies.

It’s unclear what prevented the man from getting out on his own. (CFJC)
