VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Canucks will go with Cory Schneider in goal when they host the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.
Schneider started Vancouver’s season opener on Saturday against Anaheim, but was pulled after allowing five goals on 14 shots.
Roberto Luongo played the rest of the game against Anaheim, then got the start in Vancouver’s 3-2 shootout loss to Edmonton on Sunday.
Luongo, the Canucks’ former No. 1, is on the trading block after being displaced by Schneider in last spring’s playoffs.
Canucks general manager Mike Gillis told the Vancouver Sun today that a potential trade for Luongo was in place, but declined to offer any further details.
