Kelowna RCMP looking for man who tried to steal from Superstore

KELOWNA – An attempted Real Canadian Superstore thief was caught in the act, but managed to escape and now police would like the public’s help identifying him.

Around 4:40 p.m., Dec. 3, one of the store’s loss prevention officers saw the suspect pick up some products and put them in a basket. Later on, the officer watched the man stuff the products in his jacket pockets. When the suspect tried to leave the store without paying for the items in his pockets, the loss prevention officer approached and detained him.

While the two were walking back to the office, the suspect fled and was able to escape.

RCMP would like to identify the person of interest, a caucasian man.
