Police respond to ’emergency situation’ at Boston University

Boston University says there is a “heavy police presence for an emergency situation” on campus and is urging people to stay clear of the area.

The situation was reported Friday morning at a building that houses a university library and Bank of America branch.

According to broadcast reports, a stretch of road has been closed.

A tweet from the Boston Police Department’s official account called it an “unfolding concern.”

Police did not immediately respond to a phone call.
