KAMLOOPS – The British Columbia Lottery Corporation has finished purchasing land to the west of its current headquarters, but won’t confirm its plans.
Lottery Corporation spokespeson Laura Piva-Babcock says the Crown corporation now owns three properties immediately to the west of its 74 West Seymour St. head office after it bought the third section of land in November.
While those are the only pieces of land the corporation owns, Piva-Babcock says the purchase was to give them choice, and would only confirm that they are planning to stay within Kamloops.
“We’re hoping to come to some conclusions in 2017,” Piva-Babcock says. “We are still looking at our options.”
The company began its search for a new headquarters in May.
