Former UFC lightweight champion Benson (Smooth) Henderson will make his Bellator debut against welterweight title-holder champion Andrey Koreshkov.
The “Bellator 153: Koreshkov vs. Henderson” card is set for April 22 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
Henderson (23-5) joins Bellator after his contract expired at the UFC.
He won the UFC 155-pound title at UFC 144 in February 2012 when he toppled Frankie (The Answer) Edgar in Saitama, Japan. He defended the crown three times before losing to Anthony (Showtime) Pettis at UFC 164 in August 2013.
The 32-year-old Henderson won his last two UFC fights at welterweight.
Koreshkov (18-1) won the Bellator title from Douglas Lima at Bellator 140 last July.
The Russian has 13 finishes in his 18 victories, with 10 fights already in Bellator.
