First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up $1.03, or 34.11 per cent, to $4.05 on 16.2 million shares.
Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up 31 cents, or 12.40 per cent, to $2.81 on 15.4 million shares.
Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Down two cents, or 2.25 per cent, to 87 cents on 12.6 million shares.
Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Miner. Up 64 cents, or 4.33 per cent, to $15.41 on 10.2 million shares.
Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Down two cents, or 0.70 per cent, to $2.82 on 8.5 million shares.
Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Up 68 cents, or 13 per cent, to $5.91 on 8.3 million shares.
Companies reporting major news:
BCE Inc. (TSX:BCE). Media. Up 77 cents, or 1.36 per cent, to $57.51 on 2.1 million shares. The parent of Bell Canada, CTV and related businesses recorded $120 million of severance-related expenses in the fourth quarter as the company moved to lower its cost structure. BCE disclosed the cost of the workforce adjustments in its latest financial report, which showed $496 million of net income for the fourth quarter, down 8.5 per cent from $542 million in the year-earlier period.
