Premier’s office in Alberta says former premier Getty will have state funeral
EDMONTON – A state funeral will be held for former Alberta premier Don Getty.
Getty died Friday morning in Edmonton from heart failure. He was 82.
Alberta Premier Rachel Notley’s office says the funeral will be held next Saturday morning at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral in Edmonton.
A news release says more details will be made available in the coming days.
