Montgomery scores tiebreaker to lift Kootenay Ice over Hurricanes 4-1

CRANBROOK, B.C. – Brock Montgomery scored a tiebreaking goal in the second period to lift the Kootenay Ice over the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-1 on Tuesday in the WHL.

Tyler Wong opened the scoring for Lethbridge (26-

-10) five minutes into the game, but Jaedon Descheneau tied the game at 13:26 of the period.

Montgomery netted the go-ahead goal two minutes into the second and Sam Reinhart added some insurance midway through the period on the power play.

MacKenzie Skapski made 24 saves for the Ice (34-

).

Ty Rimmer stopped 34 shots at the othe end.
