Kamloops RCMP searching for suspect after Valleyview liquor store robbery

KAMLOOPS – Another alleged robbery in Valleyview has Kamloops RCMP asking for the public's help.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says a man went into McCracken Station Liquor Store on Valleyview Drive at approximately 9:30 p.m. last night, Feb. 14.

He selected a few bottles of alcohol and approached the clerk. Shelkie says the suspect pulled out a silver handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk gave him some money and he left the store with the cash and alcohol. No one was hurt.

The man is described as Caucasian, 40 to 50 years old, medium to large build, with a left ear piercing, wearing a brown zip-up coat with white piping around collar and sleeves, a logo on the front of the coat, a blue toque, blue jeans and runners.

The suspect arrived and left in a car but no description of the vehicle is available.

If you have any information on this person or crime, you're asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477.

This is the second robbery in Valleyview in as many days. On Feb. 13, a Subway Restaurant in the neighbourhood was also robbed.
