Canadian beaten 2-0 by Belarus in not so friendly soccer match in Doha

DOHA, Qatar – Belarus defeated Canada 2-0 in a chippy exhibition soccer match Monday.

Vitali Radzionau and Uladzimir Khavaschynski scored for Belarus, which is ranked 62nd in the world.

Canada, ranked 68th, had chances but failed to convert.

Belarusian manager Georgy Kondratiev was ejected from the match early in the second half.

There were also plenty of yellow cards with Canadians Julian de Guzman, Marcel de Jong and Dejan Jakovic all cautioned.

Canada lost 2-1 to Japan on Friday in Doha.
