VANCOUVER – Winnipeg Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien missed Monday night’s game against the Vancouver Canucks.
The 30-year-old was absent from the morning skate and was listed as a game-time decision, but didn’t participate in warmups.
Jets head coach Paul Maurice wouldn’t specify Byfuglien’s ailment other than to say it wasn’t related to the upper-body injury that nearly kept him out of Saturday’s 3-2 home victory over Colorado.
The six-foot-five 260-pound Byfuglien has 16 goals and 28 assists in 68 games this season.
Meanwhile, Canucks defenceman Christopher Tanev returned to the lineup against Winnipeg after missing three games with an upper-body injury.
