New Kelowna townhouse complex in works near Orchard Plaza

KELOWNA – A proposed townhouse complex near the Orchard Plaze in Kelowna has taken a step forward.

City council has unanimously approved the rezoning application for the property at the corner of Agassiz Road and Barlee Road from large lot housing to medium density multiple housing.

The 15-unit townhouse complex will be comprised of three different buildings, each consisting of five, three story units.

Each unit will have three bedrooms, as well as three outdoor spaces. Every complex with each have a patio on the ground floor, a second floor deck and a rooftop garden. The developer has requested a variance to allow parallel visitor parking in the rear of the building.

Information on the complex was delivered to neighboring residents on Oct. 12, 2016 and development proposal is consistent with the city's Official Community Plan.
