Cops responding to cry for help in Brockville, Ont., apartment find odd culprit

BROCKVILLE, Ont. – Repeated cries for help prompted neighbours in a Brockville, Ont., apartment building to call police.

When officers arrived at the building Sunday morning, they too heard the voice calling out for help, and then found the apartment it was coming from.

Once inside, they discovered a parrot repeating the word “Help”.

It wasn’t an early April Fool’s prank.

The parrot’s owner unintentionally left the front door intercom on in the apartment, allowing the parrot’s cries for help to be heard throughout the lobby.

Police say it was a false alarm and the parrot was not in need of help. (CFJR)
