Raonic and Pospisil to start singles play for Canada against Italy in Davis Cup quarter-final

VANCOUVER – Canada’s 16th-ranked Milos Raonic will take on Italy’s Fabio Fognini on the first day of their Davis Cup quarter-final on Friday.

Raonic will play in the second singles rubber after Vasek Pospisil, playing in his hometown, meets Andreas Seppi in the opening match at Vancouver’s Thunderbird Sports Centre.

Pospisil will team up with veteran Daniel Nestor in Saturday’s doubles against Daniele Bracciali and Paolo Lorenzi In Canada’s first-ever Davis Cup quarter-final appearance.

The reverse singles matches are scheduled for Sunday.
