Grain futures mixed, livestock prices fall

CHICAGO – Grains futures were mixed Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery fell 18 cents to $6.9675 a bushel; May corn fell 4.5 cents to $6.54 a bushel; May oats were flat at $3.805 a bushel; while May soybeans added 1 cent to $14.14 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle slipped 1 cent to $1.1975 a pound; May feeder cattle fell 1.22 cent to $1.397 a pound; June lean hogs fell 1.55 cent to 88.35 cents a pound.
