‘Vikings’ will return: History orders a 10-episode second season
TORONTO – The “Vikings” will return.
History says it has ordered a second season of the brutal historical drama.
The Irish-Canadian co-production stars Gabriel Byrne as a ruthless TE455
chieftain and Travis Fimmel as an ambitious explorer eager to conquer new worlds.
History cited solid viewership in announcing 10 more episodes.
The Dark Ages drama was created and written by Michael Hirst, whose other credits include the Oscar-winning film “Elizabeth” and the CBC-TV series “The Tudors.”
“Vikings” airs Sundays on History.
