Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Lake Shore Gold Corp. (TSX:LSG). Miner. Up one cent, or 0.53 per cent, to $1.90 on 29.6 million shares.

Pacific Exploration & Production Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Up 64 cents, or 77.11 per cent, to $1.47 on 18.9 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up six cents, or 4.55 per cent, to $1.38 on 13.5 million shares.

GeneNews Ltd. (TSX:GEN). Health-care. Up 2.5 cents, or 14.29 per cent, to 20 cents on 11 million shares.

Telesta Therapeutics Inc. (TSX:TST). Health-care. Up one cent, or 14.29 per cent, to eight cents on eight million shares.

Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Up 25 cents, or 2.54 per cent, to $10.10 on six million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB). Wireless communications. Down 80 cents, or 7.59 per cent, to $9.74 on 4.2 million shares. BlackBerry reported a net loss of US$238 million in its fiscal fourth-quarter, much of it related to restructuring and acquisitions, although revenue also came in well below expectations amid a sharp drop in smartphone sales. The company sold about 600,000 smartphones in the three-month period ended Feb. 29, some 100,000 fewer than the previous quarter despite the launch with much fanfare last November of the Priv, its first Android-powered device.
