Construction has started at Kal Tire Place, adjacent to 43 Avenue, to create 29 regular parking stalls and 13 handicapped stalls.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of April, weather depending, prior to excavation work beginning in the north parking lot.
The new parking area is part of the overall expansion project at Kal Tire Place.
The existing 13 handicapped parking stalls on the east side of the access road will be relocated closer to the building to improve accessibility to the front entrance.
The location where the 13 handicapped stalls are presently marked will be repainted as 19 regular parking stalls, leading to a total of 48 new stalls.
