Daniel Radcliffe to star onstage in ‘Privacy’ in New York

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Daniel Radcliffe will return to a New York stage in James Graham’s play “Privacy,” inspired by the revelations by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden.

The Public Theater said Tuesday the former “Harry Potter” star will appear in the 2014 play that “explores how governments and corporations collect and use our personal information, and what that means for our security, our identity and our future.” It runs July 5-Aug. 7

The cast also includes De’Adre Aziza, Raffi Barsoumian, Michael Countryman, Rachel Dratch and Reg Rogers. It will be directed by Donmar Warehouse Artistic Director Josie Rourke.

Radcliffe was last on Broadway in “The Cripple of Inishmaan” in 2014. He also was in “Equus” in 2008 and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” in 2011.
