Blazers outscore Rockets in WHL playoff action

KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Blazers defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-1 last night, March 28, at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops.

Kamloops opened the scoring at 8:06 of the first period. Kole Lind responded for the Rockets at 16:28 to draw the Rockets even. The score remained 1-1 into the second period.

The Blazers scored three in the middle frame including Lane Bauer’s second of the night and Kamloops took a 4-1 lead into the final stanza.

The Rockets pushed in the final frame but Connor Ingram and Kamloops battened down the hatches to collect a 4-1 win.

Kamloops notches their first win of the series making the it interesting at 2-1 for Kelowna.

Game four goes tonight, March 29, at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops.
