Chris Cuomo, Kate Balduan morning show ‘New Day’ will start airing June 10 on CNN

NEW YORK, N.Y. – CNN’s new morning show will be called “New Day” and it will start on June 10.

The network had previously announced that Chris Cuomo and Kate Balduan (BALD’-winn) would be CNN’s new morning hosts. On Tuesday, the network gave their show a name and a start date.

Jim Murphy, who used to run “Good Morning America” at ABC, is the senior executive producer who will run “New Day.”

The morning show is an early attempt by new CNN boss Jeff Zucker to put his stamp on the network. Before moving up the corporate ladder at NBC, Zucker was executive producer of the “Today” show.
