WINNIPEG – Manitoba voters are being greeted by mild weather and sunny skies as they cast ballots in the provincial election.
NDP leader and incumbent premier Greg Selinger was among the people voting this morning in his St. Boniface constituency.
Opinion polls throughout the campaign have suggested the New Democrats face defeat, but Selinger appears to be upbeat.
He says he is shooting for a majority government and is focused on getting people to the polls.
Liberal Leader Rana Bokhari voted soon after polls opened in south Winnipeg.
Progressive Conservative Leader Brian Pallister, whose party is well out front in opinion polls, voted in advanced polls last week.
