Nevsun Resources posts profit of $7.5 million in 1st quarter

VANCOUVER – VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Nevsun Resources Ltd. (NSU) on Thursday reported first-quarter profit of $7.5 million.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 4 cents per share.

The mining company posted revenue of $92.4 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company’s shares hit $3.63. A year ago, they were trading at $3.64.
