Okanagan receives first big snowfall of the season

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Central Okanagan, including West Kelowna and Peachland.
A low pressure system moving east along the U.S. – B.C. border will continue to dump snow which is expected to be heavy at times, particularly at higher elevations. An additional 10 cm is possible today.
If traveling, the Kootenay region will also receive 5 – 10 cm. In the area of Rossland, Warfield and Trail, Elk Valley, Fernie and Morrissey, 15 cm is possible.
Snow is expected to taper off later this afternoon.
