Village of Lumby – Sandbag locations

In preparation for the spring freshet (runoff), the Village of Lumby encourages residents to prepare for any potential flooding.

Sand and sandbags are available across from the Lumby Curling Club at 2230 Shields Ave. as well as the Salmon Trail off of Faulkner Avenue.

The Village of Lumby is continuing to monitor and assess the creeks during this time and strives to provide protective measures for municipal infrastructure.

The Village would like to remind residents that it is the property owners responsibility to be prepared for these types of emergencies.

Persons living or working near creeks and streams should be aware that stream water levels may rise quickly during this time and should exercise caution.
