Costumes, river views and roller-skating are set to bring a different kind of Halloween celebration to Kamloops, where the Witches, Warlocks & Zombies River Float & Roller Skate event invites participants to combine outdoor adventure with seasonal fun.
Participants can celebrate October 31 with a themed river paddle before heading to Riverside Park for roller-skating, combining costumes, outdoor activity and Halloween fun in one outing.
The experience is organized by Okanagan Affordable Rentals and is planned to begin with a guided paddle along the South Thompson River, travelling from Pioneer Park to Riverside Park. The witch, warlock, and zombie theme gives participants an opportunity to bring their costumes along for an unusual Halloween outing, with the river serving as the setting for the first part of the adventure.

After the paddle, the event continues with hot chocolate and popcorn followed by up to two hours of roller-skating, giving participants a second activity once they are off the river.
A self-guided option is also listed for participants who prefer to explore independently. Anyone choosing that option should review the organizer’s instructions in advance for equipment, safety and booking requirements.
The event is listed for Saturday, October 31, at Riverside Park, 100 Lorne St. in Kamloops, with start times of noon, 2 pm and 4 pm. Because the event involves paddling on the river as well as skating, participants should confirm the current schedule, booking requirements, equipment arrangements and any weather-related changes before heading out.
