Albanian town declares Trump an honorary citizen

TIRANA, Albania – An Albanian town known for naming its streets after world cities and personalities, has declared U.S. President-elect Donald Trump an honorary citizen.

Kamza town hall unanimously voted for Trump “as a revolutionary model of the new democratic order, an economic expert, a foreign policy negotiator, a popular shrewd communicator and a leader of the modern times.”

The decision, taken Wednesday, hailed Trump for “offering the best hope for all Americans who rightly feel themselves betrayed by the political class.”

Kamza, on the outskirts of the Albanian capital, Tirana, is run by an opposition centre-right Democratic Party mayor, Xhelal Mziu, who on his Facebook page posted a picture of himself standing next to Trump, both making the victory sign.
