FLOOD WATCH 2017: Oyama is stuck between two overflowing lakes
OYAMA – Stuck between two lakes is probably the worst place to be during a flood.
Tween Lakes Resort, located between Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake, is close to be completely covered in water, as mountain snow continues to melt faster than our lakes can handle the resulting water.
Roads, parking lots and even the baseball diamond are already under water, and Emergency Operations says lake levels will keep going up in the coming weeks.
Alan Gatzke of Gatzke Farms posted a series of photos on social media documenting the flooding in Lake Country.
“Little view of how high water is sneakin into Oyama neighbourhoods,” he writes.
