
Showers and rain coming to the Okanagan later this week
KELOWNA – It looks like showers are coming to the Okanagan this week.
Environment Canada expects today, June 5, to be quite a nice day in the Okanagan, with sunny skies and a high of 25 Celsius. This evening the temperature will drop significantly to 9 C with a few clouds.
Tomorrow will be warmer with a mix of sun and cloud and high of 28 C. It’ll stay clear overnight and the mercury will drop to 12 C.
Wednesday will be similar, with a high of 28 C and increasing cloud through the day. It will be cloudy with a low of 17 C overnight.
Thursday is the first day of a few days with some showers expected. It’s forecast to reach a high of 25 C, but there’s also a 40 per cent chance of showers. Those showers will turn to rain overnight, with a high of 14 C.
Friday things won’t really improve as showers are predicted. A high of 19 C is expected. Overnight there’s a 70 per cent chance of showers with a low of 13 C.
The weekend is currently forecast to be grey, with a chance of showers Saturday and Sunday.
Normal termpatures for this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of around 22 C and lows of about 11 C.
