Canadian golf star Henderson fires ace at Women’s PGA Championship

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – Canadian golfer Brooke Henderson made her mark early at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship with a hole-in-one.

Starting her first round on the back nine, the 18-year-old from Smiths Falls, Ont., fired an ace on the par-3 13th hole with a seven-iron.

The shot put Henderson back under par after she shot a bogey in the 12th.

Henderson finished tied for fifth at this tournament last year, before she was granted full status on the LPGA Tour.

Her first full season on the Tour has been a success so far, with nine top-10 finishes and a No. 4 world ranking.
