Official: Jamaica runner fails doping test but awaiting result of B sample

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The head of Jamaican athletics says one of the sprinting powerhouse’s athletes has failed a doping test and they are awaiting the result of the backup sample.

Warren Blake, president of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association, said on Saturday he wouldn’t disclose a name until the B sample result was known.

Blake said he expects the association to provide more information in a few days.
