VANCOUVER – A Sikh temple in Vancouver is mourning the death of an 80-year-old woman who fell from a bus that rolled backwards before an annual seniors’ trip.
Ross Street Temple president Sohan Deo says the woman was halfway inside the charter bus when it started rolling down a hill.
He says the woman who was heading to Harrison Hot Springs was dragged for up to six metres.
Police spokesman Sgt. Randy Fincham says paramedics treated her at the scene for injuries that were thought to be minor but that she died on the way to hospital.
The woman’s name has not been released.
Fincham says three other people suffered minor injuries. (CKNW, The Canadian Press)
