Absolute Software acquires privately held date security company Palisade Systems

VANCOUVER – Absolute Software Corp. (TSX:ABT) has acquired the assets of a data security and loss prevention company.

Terms of the deal with Palisade Systems weren’t made public on Tuesday by Vancouver-based Absolute Software.

Palisade Systems solutions enable healthcare, corporate, government and education organizations to monitor and secure intellectual property, and to prevent it from leaving company networks.

Absolute Software said the service will allow users to remotely use security commands to prevent and mitigate data breaches on personal computers, smartphones, tablets, and to retrieve data.

Absolute Software specializes in technology and services for the management and security of mobile computers, netbooks, and smartphones.
