Up With the Birds is 2-1 early favourite for Sunday’s Queen’s Plate
TORONTO – Sam-Son Farms’ Up With the Birds is the 2-1 early favourite for the $1-million Queen’s Plate.
Up With the Birds drew the No. 7 post for the 1 1-4 mile race, which will be run Sunday at Woodbine Racetrack.
Filly Nipissing is the 7-2 second choice and will start from the No. 9 post in the 12-horse field.
She will try to become the 35th filly to win this event since 1860 and first since Inglorious in 2011.
Dynamic Sky, the 4-1 third choice, is one of four horses trainer Mark Casse will have in the race and start from the No. 2 spot.
